Spring Is Coming...

In Fact... it is already here!

When you doubt that God can renew our trust in him,
look to the new buds,
the bright colors,
the green trees,
the grass growing new,
the leaves budding out,
the creeks running fresh,
the bare feet in the grass,
the laughter on the air,
and the sun on my face.

Joy cometh in the Morning!

Welcome Spring!

Tricks at the Wedding

This is what one of my siblings told me (Jessica) yesterday, " I can't wait for you to get married, so we can play tricks on you at your wedding!"

Long Pause

Still Pausing

How am I supposed to respond to this?

Laugh uncontrolably? Nope
Be Sarcastic? (Oh thank you. That's the part I'm excited about too!!) Nope
Take them seriously? No!

I went with the blank look. Huh! I never thought of that benefit to the wedding.

And since when am I getting married??

This place is CRAZY!!!

They Did It!!!

This post is a little overdue, because it came in an email and I lost it!!! But here it is!!!

They did it! Congress read the WHOLE Constitution.
Dear Friends,

You won't hear about this on the news but this is a really BIG deal. Congress read the Constitution out loud for the FIRST TIME since the 18th Century. And even more - they included the critical Preamble to the Bill of Rights!

For over 30 years, we have battled on this field for a return to the Declaration, the Constitution, and the principles upon which they stand. This is a moment of real VICTORY!

Sure, 80% of the Congress (Democrats and Republicans) did not bother to show up for this historic moment. That's another story altogether and we will get to that - but for the moment - TWO major victories today. The first is they read the Constitution and the second is they included the important language of the Bill of Rights.

Because of your constant prayers and financial support, this work continues. Thank you.

Two of the MOST precious girls in the world!!!

I love you Jamie and Sarah!

Jamie is my twin separated by 9 years, and Sarah is Erin's twin. So... they remind me of myself and Erin. Drive each other crazy, but laughing like crazies ourselves the next minute!

The Love of God

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Refrain

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Refrain
