Day 9: A photo you took.

I took this photo last year, and I love the way it captured the way these three people smile!

Emily's smile is a little shy, quiet, and still like a little girl.

Erin's is full of love, life, and laughter.

Michael's is the smile of a little boy who knows he is loved and loved a lot!

Day 8: A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life.

Dear Mommy,

If there is ever someone who has changed my life, it would be you.

Without you, my life would not be the same.

I would not have the example I have of a Godly wife and mother.

I would not know how rich and wonderful the role of a wife and mother could be.

I love you dearly.

Thank you again for your dedication to all of our lives.

Love, Jessica

Day 7: Five things you couldn't possibly live without.

  1. My Lord and Savior
  2. My family
  3. The Outdoors
  4. Books - All books especially the Bible
  5. Paper

I love all those things!!! And a lot more... I am a very loving person... but those are the top five!

Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive.

Is it possible to relive a moment you have lived 7 times?

The greatest thing I have ever heard, experienced, or otherwise had is the moment I hear my dad say on the other end of the line... "it is a boy or it is a girl"

Hands down, those are the best moments of my life. Those moments mean, I have another sibling and once again (Praise be to the Lord) I am a big sister!

O...k....a...y

After being in bed for seven days straight with the flu I think we are finally in the mend.

While we were in bed a puppy was dropped off on our front porch and then it died a week later. Parvo will do that to you.

Wow, that was sad and depressing. Okay, life goes on. Hmmm...

All that to say, we have a Hoedown this week, a movie to make, school to do, and ... let's just go back to bed.

It was easier that way! :)

You all stay well and I will get back with you as soon as I am able!

Day #5 - A Favorite Quote

I just love this quote. I have no idea where I found it or who said it, but I love it all the same.

Wisdom comes in two parts:
Having a lot to say
Not saying it.

That is my wisdom for the day!

Well, we only watch family movies really. We don't get any TV stations.

Except for one exception!! We buy the Andy Griffith Seasons on DVD and watch and rewatch them.

I love those shows! But, only the Black and White ones... not the colored!

The Wonder to a 2 Year Old

We were packing up Christmas stuff. Farewell to Joseph, Mary, the Christ Child, the running shepherds, and the wise men... one kneeling... the others just arriving.

We were wrapping them in paper, tucking them into the creche, and then placing the whole package into the box.

After this we were taping up the boxes. Sealing them against breaking, tipping, and damage.

I was kneeling on the floor. My knees were kind of sore. I was about to tape up the box.

Michael walked over. He pulled the tape from me. "Gaga? Please I do it? Please Gaga?"

I almost said no. This was our nativity. If it broke it would never be the same. I took the tape back and started to shake me head.

And then... I stopped.

I looked at the small blond boy. The boy I had prayed for. The boy who has hair like most of us. Blond. It comes from Daddy.

His blue eyes. Questioning my choice.

He wanted so badly to be a big boy. To do big things.

Little Michael JoeJoe. Trying too hard to be good and be sweet.

"Help Please?"

I remembered that there is 15 years between us. That when I am 30 he'll be 15. I will be gone maybe. Perhaps in a house of my own (hopefully).

I remembered that next year he'll be packing the nativity himself. His fingers won't be sticky. His mouth won't be covered in Chocolate. His hair won't stand up on end.

He will be bigger. He will still be young, but the wonder of a two year old will be gone.

So...

I tore a piece of tape of and handed it to him.

"Put it here Michael."

He looked at me.

He Smiled

"Thank you Gaga. I love you best!"

A tight hug.

A sticky kiss.

I love you best too, Michael.

Love, your big sister, Jessica

Day #1 - A Favorite Song

Well, that is hard because I love all hymns! Well, almost all. All except for the few with the weird tunes!

I love The Deep Deep Love of Jesus and I'd Rather Have Jesus

Have a great day!

Lessons and Carols

Oh Holy Night has never sounded more beautiful! It was made for piano and violin!!

This young lady is engaged and will be leaving us this year! Thank you for your friendship Hannah!

I made a wonderful discovery this year... I like the French Horn. I would never want to play one, but I like to listen to it!

A full Church!

Erin doing what she loves.

It's the MOST wonderful time of the Year!!! I love Christmas, the season, the weather, the events leading to it, the Lessons and Carols Service!

What could mean more to four beginning violinists than to be given the privilege of playing with some of the best musicians in our area? We loved the chance to preform with them and it was worth every moment of stressed practice time. It was wonderful!!

Thank you to Mrs. Joyce Terry, the Flannkins, Hannah F. Mrs. Pilon, the Steeles, the Winsteads, and all the others who compiled their gifts and talents to put together a beautiful night!! It was a wonderful experience and we loved it!

Did I say how much we loved it? :)

We spent New Year's Eve with some GOOD friends. The parents ate out and us kids (pardon the grammar) stayed home to eat pizza, watch movies, and play with Bria's camera!! Just some good natured camera envy!! Just kidding!

We had so much fun!!!

Enjoy the photos!
